The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) plays a crucial role in transforming rural India through inclusive and sustainable skill development programs. With a vision to reduce poverty and create employment opportunities, MoRD has launched several initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of rural youth and empowering them to become self-reliant contributors to the nation’s economy.

Through flagship programs like the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) and Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs), MoRD focuses on equipping individuals from rural and underprivileged backgrounds with industry-relevant, job-ready skills.
